New Software: MyTinyTV

New Software: MyTinyTV

Today, Softel vdm, Inc. announced MyTinyTV 1.0, an application that allows you to watch real-time television on your Pocket PC. The software connects to your computer at home (the PC must have a TV tuner card) to display all of the same channels you receive at home.

Watch live TV from on your Pocket PC!

The software wirelessly streams the video from your computer's TV tuner card directly to the Pocket PC. This allows you to watch TV wirelessly, from your pool, or across town.

The software includes a program guide with full TV listings (only available in the U.S. and Canada). Each show has detailed information including ratings, description and release date. You can also change the channel you are watching, directly from the program guide screen.

The MyTinyTV is available for $59 and a 7-day trial version is available on their Web site ( http://www.mytinytv.com/ ). The software has some strict system requirements (including that your TV tuner card does not connect to your PC sound card), so I highly recommend you "try before you buy."
